The Food Pantry was a busy place this week with 478 families coming. The guests have many stories. One family was robbed of almost everything and needed food to make it to their next paycheck. Another one’s husband was in the hospital and had no income. Most just don’t have enough cash or food stamps to buy food even though many of them have jobs. The volunteers try very hard to help all who come.

This next week the CHP Health Van is coming on Thursday to offer free health care. We also offer free clothing, household articles and books.

We have been offering a lunch to the volunteers each week to provide a time for us to get to know one another and to unwind from our busy morning.

For the month of October we are requesting donations of toilet paper. Thanks to all for your continued support to this project which is so vital to our city.
