May Mattoon met on Monday, September 12th for dinner at Koto’s Restaurant. Twenty members and guests were present as well as Reverend Joel and Chet Gallup. The group enjoyed a delicious dinner with a wonderful wait staff and cooks who entertained us throughout the meal. One of our guests, Carol Masiero, was celebrating a birthday, and the kitchen sent out a special dessert which she shared with all of us.
Get well cards were circulated and signed and will be sent to three of our members who are still recuperating from various health issues and could not be with us that evening — Ruth Austin, Jean Bousquet and Ruth Campbell. We wish them well and hope they will be able to join us soon.
The next meeting will be held on Tuesday, October 4th at 12 noon. Hostesses are: Sara Adams, Pam Garrett and Pat Nixon. Joel will speak to us about his and Tora’s trip this summer to the west coast by train.
